Jim Krieger, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer for Gallup accepted the award on behalf of the company. David Karnes, former U.S. Senator and early museum volunteer, served as the master of ceremonies for the event.
The program included a welcome by the museum’s executive director, Lindy Hoyer, followed by lunch and comments from Rabbi Steven Abraham and David Karnes. Videos created by Gallup featuring the 2012 Great Friends to Kids honorees were shown along with the presentation.

Ann Goldstein (1946-2011)
Great Friend to Omaha Children's Museum
Ann Goldstein was a true friend to Omaha Children's Museum from its inception. Her passion for children was evident in her life as an elementary school teacher, her love for her family and through her service to the museum and other organizations.
More than 35 years ago Ann and several friends joined together as volunteers to establish a children's museum in Omaha and served as first governing board members of the museum. They worked tirelessly building a strong foundation so the museum could grow to become the organization it is today. She and her family enjoyed traveling to numerous children's museums throughout the country gathering inspiration for Omaha Children's Museum.
