A Celebration of Creativity and Community

50th Annual Omaha Summer Arts Festival at Askarben

On June 8th, families and children gathered at Askarben for an unforgettable experience at the Summer Arts Festival. Omaha Children’s Museum was able participate through our Museum Without Walls (MWoW) program, supported by Fat Brain Toys. Transforming our space into a vibrant hub of learning through play.

From interactive bubble stations to block-building areas, the activities we featured inspired creativity and sparked curiosity among attendees of all ages. Children explored the wonders of science while creating and chasing bubbles, and honed their engineering skills by constructing imaginative structures.

Beyond OCM’s educational activities, the festival fostered a strong sense of community. Families bonded over shared experiences, while children formed new friendships through collaboration and play. Laughter and excitement filled the air, creating lasting memories for all involved.

In essence, the Summer Arts Festival at Askarben was a joyous celebration of creativity, curiosity, and community—a testament to the power of playful learning in bringing people together.
