Omaha Children’s Museum’s summer camps feature engaging curriculum and great instructors who make every day exciting and new. Camps are intended for children ages 6 to 8, and include daily play in the museum, and a snack.
Barbie has had a lot of careers over the years, inspiring boys and girls to follow their dreams and become anything that they want to be. Each day, we’ll explore the different S.T.E.A.M. careers that Barbie has taken on over the years.

Explore our new summer exhibit: Jurassic Nebraska; as we learn about those terrible lizards that we all love, dinosaurs! Learn about their biomechanics, dig for fossils in our exhibit, and learn about those dinosaurs living among us today!

Meet us in the kitchen for a fun week of camp! Through food, kids will learn S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) concepts and culinary history while preparing recipes each day. Please indicate known food allergies on the medical form.

Let’s dive into the World of Nintendo with our favorite Nintendo characters to explore the S.T.E.A.M. elements of video games. Join us as we look at Super Mario Brothers, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing, then design your own character and world! (Note: Nintendo will not be played during this camp.)

Help us explore the Marvel Universe as we analyze the science of superpowers of our favorite Avengers, like Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and more! Like Tony Stark, we will use our knowledge to develop our own Marvel Character and by the end of the week, we’ll know what it takes to be an Avenger!

So you want to be a YouTuber? We do too! But, we’re not going to watch an endless succession of YouTube videos. Children have unique needs when it comes to digital literacy, so we’ll focus on the foundation of understanding the digital world around them and how to communicate safely and effectively in it. After all, video creation can be an excellent way for children to express themselves while learning digital video skills!
