Welcome Fund Overview

Omaha Children’s Museum Welcome Fund Membership is a subsidized membership program designed to serve families with dependent children up to 8 years of age who may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy our programs and exhibits. All Welcome Fund memberships are subject to the availability of monies donated by organizations and private individuals in support of this program.

To apply for the Welcome Fund, we require the following:

An application, found below

Proof of income – This can be a copy of the most recent income tax returns for each adult on the application, a letter from the WIC program, a letter from the SNAP program, or either a letter from Medicaid or a copy of the primary cardholder’s Medicaid card *Please do NOT send original cards in the mail*

$10.00 – This can be cash, check, or money order.

All of these items must be mailed to us or brought to the museum, and it can take up to 2 weeks to process. 

The membership includes two adults living under the same roof and up to six dependent children.  It lasts for an entire 12 months. To renew your Welcome Fund membership, you must go through the application process again.  

Residents of Douglas, Sarpy, Cass (NE & IA), Dodge, Mills, Fremont, Harrison, Washington, or Pottawattamie counties are eligible for Welcome Fund memberships.
