Don’t Forget Your Shopping List!
The Hy-Vee Grocery Store provides children and families a similar experience to what they’d have at their local Hy-Vee store. This exhibit features a Rotella’s Bakery, Hy-Vee Italian, product displays and an interactive fruit and vegetable station where children can learn about the various benefits of produce through sorting activities. This space also features two cashier stations and an ‘outdoor’ grilling area provided by Omaha Steaks.
Little Shoppers are able to:
- Use their Hy-Vee gas card at the register
- Shop for local produce, meat, groceries and even dessert
- Build and decorate your own layer cake
- Throw on an apron and become a baker at the Rotella’s Bakery
- Serve up a slice of pizza behind the Hy-Vee Italian Express
- Light up a giant rainbow by filling it with colorful produce
- Be a real Hy-Vee worker by getting behind the register and ringing up groceries or stocking the shelves with delicious food
