Make a Donation

Omaha Children’s Museum depends on the contributions of individuals, corporations, and foundations to continue to provide our visitors learning and fun, wrapped up in one special place.

Individual contributions help keep your favorite exhibits in top-notch condition and our building in pristine shape. By contributing to the museum’s Annual Fund, you are supporting informal learning opportunities and programs for children, families and schools.

Your support is critical to providing a high-quality experience at Omaha Children’s Museum. Admissions, program fees, memberships and other earned revenue accounts for 65% of the museum’s operating income. As a private non-profit organization, we rely on the generous gifts from our friends to make up the balance.

Welcome Fund

Omaha Children’s Museum’s Welcome Fund is a program designed to provide children and families who could not otherwise afford it, access to the museum. Through the contributions of caring community members, the museum is able to offer discounted memberships to Omaha’s underserved learners.

This program is open to the public, with recruitment conducted through marketing to visitors and targeted outreach efforts aimed at underserved populations. Omaha Children’s Museum collaborates with school administrations with Title One income designation. Our program is designed to identify, invite and include these new members in a discreet, dignified, and non-evaluative manner. Administration procedures are designed to secure the anonymity of subsidized members among our membership-at-large.

Memorials and Tributes

Your gift to Omaha Children’s Museum can be made in memory of a loved one, in recognition of a child or a favorite teacher – it’s a wonderful way to honor someone who made a difference in your life.

Planned Gifts

You can ensure learning through play at Omaha Children’s Museum is secure by creating a provision in estate and financial plans to benefit this important educational and cultural institution. Such gifts are invested; the returns are used to provide special programs and educational opportunities, and to fund the ongoing annual costs necessary to operate Omaha Children’s Museum.
