When did you join the Board of Directors? January 2020

Any position you currently hold on the board/have held on the board: Finance Committee Member

What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time on the board? If you’re one of the newest members on the board, what do you hope to accomplish? Looking forward to utilizing my construction background to contribute to the future success of the current building and possibly assist in a new one!

Your hometown: Woodbine, Iowa

What things interested you as a child? I was always either outside or in my dad’s shop. I loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and the occasional camping trip with my buddies.

What did you want to be when you grow up? In the army or a police officer.

What was your first job? Throwing hay and picking sweet corn. Also, I had my own lawn mowing business in there as well.

What do you do now? I currently own my own Commercial Construction GC business. And I’m in the process of starting my own exteriors as well. I’ve been on my own for a couple of years – it’s been a wild ride navigating through the pandemic!

Tell us about your family: Married to my lovely wife, Kristen. Two girls – Grace is 8 and Emma is 6. My family is amazing and they motivate me to be better every day!

Share a memory you have of visiting Omaha Children’s Museum: I remember coming to the museum in elementary school (I want to say it was 1990). Which I guess is a long time ago as I am closing the door on 40. We went to the museum in the morning and then I think we went to the Rose in the afternoon. I remember at the time it felt like a pretty big deal for us poor farm kids from rural Iowa, Ha ha!
