Museum Without Walls, launched in March 2020, is designed to provide educational and museum-quality experiences to children and families who may not otherwise be able to visit the Omaha Children’s Museum. Experiences can be virtual or in-person, and most have been free thanks to donors.

Homeschool Program
Starting this fall, Omaha Children’s Museum will be offering virtual programming for the homeschool community! Subscribe and get access to interactive virtual programming happening once a month.

So far in 2022, Museum Without Walls as partnered with Cinco de Mayo, UNO Freedom Fest, Heartland Pride, Omaha Housing Authority, Afrofest, and others.

In 2021, Omaha Children’s Museum was at 19 community events outside of the museum’s normal business operations, as well as three online events viewed by the nationwide audience of Varsity Tutors. Events ranged from STEM in the City at the Highlander, Cinco de Mayo festivities on 24th Street, and the Sixth Annual Youth Pride event at Baxter Arena. Fall events have included African Cultural Festival Omaha at Aksarben Village and Nightmare on L Street at South High School.
