When did you join the Board of Directors? 2019 Any position you currently hold on the board/have held on the board: Finance Committee Chair
What are you most proud of accomplishing during your time on the board? If you’re one of the newest members on the board, what do you hope to accomplish? Assisting an amazing management team to navigate the financial challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus, resiliency, and adaptability they demonstrated was incredible.
Your hometown: DeSoto, KS
What things interested you as a child? Airplanes and anything that could fly.
What did you want to be when you grow up? A golf course superintendent until I realized it would be a direct conflict with my favorite hobby. Definitely not an accountant.
What was your first job? Cart kid at the local golf course.
What do you do now? Corporate Controller at Kiewit. Another amazing Omaha organization.
Tell us about your family: A wife, Kim, and three daughters: Harper, Hadley, and Hazel. A girl dad that is heavily outnumbered. Very different personalities among the three but all are fantastic in their own ways.
Share a memory you have of visiting Omaha Children’s Museum: One of the more recent “visits” to OCM was our virtual interaction with Santa and his elf. The girls absolutely loved the personal interaction and attention from both. It was a great example of how OCM can adapt to provide an enriching experience to its visitors and members even when visitors may not be able to physically enter the museum.
